Bands on the Bay

May 2012:  Save the date for Bands on the Bay, Sunday, May 1st, 1:00pm to 6:00pm.  Over the past four years, Bands on the Bay has raised about $600,000 for the Hunter Nelson Sturge-Weber Center and united over 2,000 people in the fight against SWS.  More information is available at: http://bandsonthebay.org/

WalkAide Clinics - free evaluations

February/March 2012: Alliance Orthopedic Labs, a certified WalkAide provider, will hold WalkAide clinics on February 9th and March 22nd. WalkAide is a medical device that improves the walking ability of people experiencing foot drop. The clinics are designed to determine if candidates will benefit from use of the device and, if appropriate, give candidates the opportunity to try it. October 2011: The second annual Miles for Megan 5K and Family Fun Walk was organized to benefit the Miracle for Megan Foundation, an organization created to raise awareness, increase research and develop optimal treatment methods for people with Genetic Disorders. Alliance Orthopedic Labs, a Silver Sponsor of this event, takes care of Megan's orthotic needs. Alliance  Reaches out to Kids in Ecuador

August, 2011: Almost 40 pounds of gently used orthotics, shoes and equipment were shipped in the summer of 2011 by Alliance Orthopedic Labs to PediHabilidad (Able Children), a rehabilitation program for children with disabilities in the Amazon region of Ecuador. PediHabilidad offers services at no cost and provides children with the durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, crutches and braces necessary for their rehabilitation. Through donations and grant funding, PediHabilidad is able to furnish the clinic with state of the art rehabilitation equipment otherwise unavailable in Latin America. "Team Alliance" Supports MDA Muscle Walk

April 2011: Alliance Orthopedic Labs supported the Baltimore MDA Muscle Walk, an annual event that pays tribute to and raises funds for children and adults served by the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This energizing and inspiring family affair was held at Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, MD, in April 2011.

Alliance Awarded ABC Accreditation

June 2010: Alliance Orthopedic Labs received Re-Accreditation from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc., (ABC), an independent, not-for-profit organization which has been providing facility accreditation since 1948. Read more...
